In 2020, out of six schools, which provide secondary education on water management in the country, 32 students entered for the competition in the field of water management technician.
The first phase of the competition was conducted in writing with the assistance of the regional water management directorates. The first phase of the competition was implemented with the assistance of South-Transdanubian Water Management Directorate on February 13, 2020 at Drava Valley High School in Barcs, which was represented by five water management technician students. Three of them – who got into the finals, which was held April 22, 2020 – were rewarded with a gift package by the South-Transdanubian Water Management Directorate.
Due to the exceptional Coronavirus situation this year’s final of the competition was organized online. All of the 11 participating students achieved a score above 4.0 as it was defined as criteria in the call for competition, subsequently they all obtained technical qualification. The students from Barcs got the 7th, 9th and 10th places in the competition. Congratulations to the competitors on their excellent results and success!
