Events ArchiveDo unidentified culprits walk in the dark rooms of the museum at night? No one has seen anything, no trace was left. Their intent is unknown at this time, but it is absolutely certain that an artifact will disappear. What kind of mystery is hidden in the halls, rooms and the seemingly endless corridors of the museum in the Midnight Hour? Who has stolen the ARTIFACT? Please help me to solve this case. Invoke logic and intuition, but if you feel completely lost, ask for help from the Rat.
You can participate in an exciting and interactive INVESTIGATION in the museum if you attend our programme the Museums at Night.
We are looking forward to meeting you from 5 a.m., either you are an adult, a small child or a pensioner; whether you come alone or with friends or family. This year, we try to catch the feeling and the authentic atmosphere of a French beer-garden under the shadow of the old linden tree in the courtyard of the museum. Have you ever seen spritzer garden in a chanson garden, where mixes of fine wine and tiny bubbles of soda blend with the sounds of Edit Piaf’s songs? In case you did not, you can join us. As the venue of the programme is our museum, we are going to focus on soda-water and our COLLECTION.
Waterwheels, flower carpets can be made by children and pebbles can be painted as well. Meanwhile, in the courtyard, WATER-games can be played by kids. Then, if they tired themselves enough, a magical illusionist will entertain the audience with his eye-catching show from 7 a.m. We are absolutely sure that you won’t believe your eyes. After the illusionist show András Csirmaz will perform his especially humorous, interactive repertoire at the garden tables from 7.40 a.m. He took part in the national illusionist championship and will make you laugh and astonish with his special MICRO magic.
During the wandering in our building a rare museum experience will be shared in our interactive rooms. You can attend these walks continuously from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. From 9 a.m. it will turn out whether the mosquitoes bite the deer in Gemenc. The Hungarian nature film titled THE HABITAT OF FLOODPLAINS will present the flora and fauna of the largest floodplain forest in Central Europe. On a rare occasion like the Museums at Night programme children can stay up late exceptionally while drinking grape-juice and watching the stunning pictures on the screen that will allow adults to relax with a cool spritzer until midnight.
