Events ArchiveThe Day of Earth events have been held worldwide since 1970 with the contribution of more than a thousands of organizations, which events are calling attention to the environmental and nature conservation problems of our planet and offer solutions to them. It has been a tradition for many years in Pécs that Tettye's colorful scrolls are waiting for everyone in the spirit of the Day of Earth, this April 21, 10:00 and 15:00. According to the traditions the hosts will be the Danube-Dráva National Park Directorate, as well as service providers of Pécs and of the agglomeration. The focus of the programs is on promoting an environmentally conscious lifestyle.
The South-Transdanubian Water Managment Directorate will also take part in the reception and informing of guests every year, as well as attending participants as a sealing point.
At the seal collection stations, visitors can retrieve player puzzles for rewards. Those who collect at least 10 seals will receive a guaranteed gift and a 50% entry into the Tettye Cave. Each handed ticket is drawn in a lottery, prizes are family admission tickets to the Visitor Center of Ős-Dráva in Szaporca.
In accordance with the practice of previous years, free guided tours are taking place this year at the Pintér's Garden Arboretum. The start times for guided tours of 45 to 50 minutes are 11.00, 13.00, 14.00. o' clock.
