Events ArchiveWithin the organization of the General Directorate of Water Management, the 2nd Annual National Water Sector-based Public Employment Conference was held in the area of the Upper-Tisza region Water Management Directorate on 4th -6th February 2015.
The staff of the General Directorate of Water Management and the 12 Water Management Directorates dealing with public employment attended the conference as well as the invited guests, the representatives of the Ministry for Home Affairs and the Government Office.
The presentations focused on important issues such as the feasibility of public employment in the water sector in practice, the eligibility of the National Public Employment Programme, or the rules of involvement in case of flood defence activities. The past years’ experiences got discussed on and the objectives for the future got defined during the technical consultations.
The Upper-Tisza-region Water Management Directorate provided an opportunity for the participants to visit the reservoir on ‘Szamos-Kraszna köz’ built for decreasing the flood-level.
